Musician Wanlov the Kubolor fights for equal rights

Musician and activist Wanlov the Kubolor, born Emmanuel Owusu-Bonsu, is a prominent advocate for LGBTQ+ rights in Ghana. Known for his distinctive style—often barefoot and adorned in traditional wrap cloths—he uses his art to challenge societal norms and promote inclusivity.

Wanlov's activism intensified in response to Ghana's proposed anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, which seeks to criminalize same-sex relationships and advocacy.
